Hi, I'm Amy
I qualified as a midwife in 2024 and currently work at a busy London NHS hospital. I enjoy the varied work of maternity and really love being able to work with families on a one-to-one basis, providing truly woman-, birthing person-, and family-centred care.
I have worked with children, babies & their families in a variety of settings for over 20 years. I gained a CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education in 2005 and worked as a Sure Start Early Years Coordinator until having my first child in 2007.
I started specialising in neonatal care in 2010 after having my second baby. I studied breastfeeding support with the Breastfeeding Network and began supporting local Mums on a voluntary basis. I also volunteered with the charity Birth Companions, supporting vulnerable women before, during and after childbirth.
In 2012, I began working at the Whittington Hospital as a Maternity Nursery Nurse. In this role, I supported parents caring for their new babies on the postnatal ward. This included working with babies who were pre-term, low birth weight, having feeding difficulties or at risk of becoming unwell.
I studied ‘Care of the Neonate’ at Middlesex University in 2013. In 2015, I began working privately as a Maternity Nurse and baby massage teacher, specialising in supporting breastfeeding, weaning and sleep. In 2021, I started my midwifery training at City, University of London, graduating in 2024 with first-class honours. I live in North London with my husband and our three children.
I work within a holistic, family-centred approach. I will get to know your personal situation and individual needs before tailoring support to suit you and your family. As a mother of three, I have experienced many ups and downs of parenthood. I understand the lack of sleep, heightened emotions and complete overwhelm. I know how difficult it can be to know whom to turn to for support or advice. I can offer a calm presence in a world of information overload. I can provide a non-judgemental support system to share evidence-based information as well as tips and tricks I’ve learnt from over 20 years of experience. My aim is to offer practical solutions, boost your parenting confidence, and remind you of just how amazing you are.
