Postnatal Community Workshop
Her Return; Exploring Postpartum Through Storytelling
The transition to Motherhood is a critical journey that doesn’t end when baby arrives, in fact, birth is sometimes the threshold of some of the deeper transformation of the path. Using myth and storytelling as well as spiritual psychology principles, we’ll explore the archetypes and phases of postpartum, while enjoying community in similar seasons.
Hosted by birth practioner Alma Vignal and doula Chase Wilmot; the workshop will begin with an active listening and meditative process to the story of Inanna’s Descent into the Underworld and Her Return. Then we’ll explore a birth art practice to look at the symbolism and meaning that resonated and sparked clarity for us. There will be breakout rooms and prompted excavation of individual experience shared in the communal space.
Our intention is for everyone to walk away with feelings of peace, community, and an orientation on their path, as well as more compassion towards themselves and their process.
We are looking forward to being with you.
