Hi, I'm Victoria.

I came into the maternity sphere after the birth of my daughter in 2009. My experiences of birth, fertility struggles, loss, and motherhood transformed me deeply. I trained and worked as a birth doula from 2016, and in 2023 I began my midwifery degree. I am also the founder of Womb and Bloom, a platform dedicated to supporting birth workers, women, and families as they step into motherhood and parenthood. As a newly qualified midwife, I will work as a second midwife and take on clients alongside experienced Independent Midwives for the foreseeable future, from 2027 onwards. I offer hypnobirthing workshops, antenatal and postnatal courses from the Womb and Bloom hub, as well as evidence-based midwifery support appointments or calls from 2027.

I live in Islington with my husband and our two children. My life journey through conception, birth, loss, and motherhood has shaped who I am today. I am here with a full heart to support women, birthing people, and couples as they navigate their own path into parenthood.

🌿 Background

From 2015 to 2018, I worked in the community as a User Representative with the Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) at our local hospital. In 2016, I trained on the Paramana Doula course with world‑renowned birth educators Michel Odent and Liliana Lammers. In 2017, while pregnant with our son, I trained at the Active Birth Centre and became a certified Active Birth teacher under Janet Balaskas, a leading figure in birth education and midwifery practice.

I joined Doula UK in 2018 on a mentorship programme and worked with private clients as well as volunteering with Happy Baby Community, supporting pregnant women who have fled violence or trafficking—an organisation I feel incredibly privileged to be part of. In 2019, just before the pandemic, I trained as a breastfeeding helper with the Breastfeeding Network. I have completed hypnobirthing training courses with The Wise Hippo, The Birth Uprising and the renowned Katherine Graves at KGH Hypnobirthing. I have completed the Biomechanics for Birth courses with Molly O Brien. I am insured with Zest midwives, DBS‑checked, and committed to ongoing professional development.

In 2023, I embarked on my hardest journey yet: training to become a midwife. Encouraged by an Independent Midwife friend, I realised midwifery was something I had always been meant to do—it simply took time to arrive here. I have chosen not to begin my practice within the NHS for now, and instead will start my career in a setting where I feel safe, supported, and able to grow as a new Independent Midwife under the mentorship of experienced IMs. It is an exciting chapter—one that allows me to focus more deeply on what we offer at Womb and Bloom, and to provide gold‑standard continuity of care outside and alongside the NHS.

🌸 Spare Time

Flowers are among my greatest passions. I adore every season for the blooms and foliage it brings, and I love creating bouquets and caring for my ever‑growing family of houseplants. Walking and running in nature, dancing around the kitchen, singing (terribly out of key!), enjoying food and baking are other joys of mine. Most of all, spending time with my family and friends brings me pure happiness. I’m also a lover of self‑development books and podcasts and anything birth related. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is a permanent fixture on my bedside table.

"Thank you so much for everything. I would never have made it as far along at home without you, and I am so grateful to have had a-natural birth. You vouching for me, getting the pool sorted etc made all the difference and it was your quiet but firm confidence that allowed me to know I was safe". Oct 2022
