Chase Wilmot

Birth & Postnatal coach

Hi, I am Chase, a birth doula and postnatal coach. I became a birth doula after discovering a vision of women’s healthcare in Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth that deeply resonated with me. In 2022, I trained with Birthing From Within, blending evidence-based knowledge with emotional and spiritual preparation. In 2024, I was mentored by doula Carson Meyer, which grounded my training in self-trust and strengthened my confidence in the value of my work. Drawing on seven years of coaching experience paired with my doula training, I provide steady, compassionate continuity of care throughout your childbearing journey.

What you can expect from me as your birth doula:

Before birth, I offer education to support informed, consensual, and empowered decision-making. I help you and your partner gently turn toward any fears or worries that arise, bringing them into the open to be felt, examined, and let go. Together, we will also explore your hopes and desires for birth so you can move forward with clear intentions and self-knowing.

During labour and birth, I provide steady physical support, including guidance on positioning, relaxation, comfort measures, and encouragement through challenging moments. I support clear communication between you and your medical team and help slow things down when possible so you feel safe, informed, and considered.

I act as a bridge for your partner, supporting them to feel confident and empowered as an active participant in the birth. I also help protect the birthing space around you two, creating conditions that allow you both to relax into a sense of safety and connection.

After birth, I am available to help you process your birth experience and support bonding and settling as you rest and recover in the early days.

Throughout the process, I listen deeply and offer a calm, compassionate presence so you can feel acknowledged, understood, and witnessed. When challenges arise, I support troubleshooting by helping you access accurate information and appropriate resources.

As a postnatal coach, I offer ongoing, supportive care to help steady the early months of parenthood as your family settles and grows. I support you and your partner in processing your birth experience and integrating the learning, challenges, and joys that emerged from it.

I provide a grounded space for the emotional landscape of early parenthood and support the gentle release of misbeliefs and misunderstandings that may be creating inner discomfort. I also support you in navigating partnership changes, fostering clear, loving communication, and looking ahead into motherhood with confidence, empowerment, and excitement.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at home cooking with my husband, pottering in my South London garden, or lost in a good romance book (guilty pleasure!). I draw endless energy and inspiration from the incredible women in my life and the wisdom, laughter, and love we share. Lately, I’ve also been rediscovering the joy of movement in ballet classes!
