Independent midwives in W&B group

We can support you in finding an Independent Midwife who is the right fit for your journey. Simply provide your estimated due date and postcode, and we will connect you with Independent Midwives who are currently available in your area.

You will then have the opportunity to speak directly with them to decide who best aligns with your needs, values, and preferences for care.

There is no fee for this service. Instead, our collective makes a voluntary contribution to our access fund, helping us continue to expand support and improve accessibility for families within our community.

Emma Lawless IM.avif

Independent midwife

Emma's journey into midwifery began with a truly positive 3rd birth experience. The care she received from one incredible midwife left a lasting impact and inspired Emma to pursue this path. At 46, as a single mother of four, she completed a midwifery degree with First-Class Honours and began a career that has become her life’s passion. Since qualifying in 2014, Emma has supported families across a wide range of settings from high-risk hospital units to calm, empowering home births, always with compassion, respect, and the belief that care should be centred around you.
