Questions & Reflections in pregnancy with Alma Vignal

A 3-hour workshop (either in-person or virtual), exploring a holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and parenthood through reflections, exercises, and discussion. Clients will have the option to book a complimentary 1-hour follow-up session.

The hope is that through this workshop you’ll be able to develop a better understanding of your own internal experience of pregnancy, and explore your beliefs, hopes and fears related to birth and parenthood, both through reflective and practical exercises.

Workshop Overview

  • Reflective Exercise: ‘Where am I?’

  • The 2 Paradigms (The ‘Technocratic’ VS the ‘Human/Holistic’ Approach)

  • There are two ways of understanding pregnancy, labour and birth: as a purely physical event or as a multi-dimensional one (physical, psychological, emotional and even spiritual).

  • The Myth of Demeter and Persephone

  • The New ‘Myths’

  • Contemporary collective ideas and beliefs around pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
