Acupuncture is a medical treatment which helps people with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. Treatment is given according to an individual's specific diagnosis and needs; pulse and tongue diagnosis are made, as well as a discussion about health history and symptoms to identify the particular pattern of disharmony. Fine, sterile acupuncture needles are then inserted into the skin at influential locations on the body to improve the flow of blood and energy, and relax the mind in order to restore and promote health. Taking an holistic approach, all areas of health are addressed and considered within the Traditional Chinese Medicine system and, in addition to treatment, we encourage a balance and cultivation of energy through awareness of good diet, appropriate exercise, breathing, meditation, creative fulfillment, and healthy relationships. Acupuncture treatment acknowledges the significance of maintaining a healthy balance between mind, body and spirit, and offers treatment and lifestyle guidance to help create better health and well-being. For example, when treating women to improve fertility, we also promote healthy conception and pregnancy by advising and ensuring a nourishing diet, a healthy relationship, a peaceful, calm mind, and regular and appropriate exercise.

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork has its roots in Traditional Chinese medicine. Closely related to acupuncture, shiatsu uses touch, pressure and stretches to revitalise and re energise the body and mind. By calming and rebalancing the nervous system, shiatsu can help with reducing stress, relaxing the mind, and helps engage the body's innate healing processes, regulating the somatic rhythms, such as ensuring a healthy menstrual cycle which promotes good fertility.Used independently or in combination, Acupuncture and Shiatsu are part of a complementary medical system able to treat a wide variety of conditions. We practice integrated medicine, which means we refer people for other types of medical treatment as appropriate whether conventional or complementary. Our acupuncture and shiatsu clinics are based in South East London, New Cross Gate, Brockley, Queens rd Peckham train and tube stations, and East Dulwich.
