Emily Clayton

Independent midwife

Emily is an Independent midwife with over 13 years of clinical work and teaching experience within both the NHS and Private maternity services. I love what I do, and supporting people through their pregnancies and birthing journeys brings me so much joy and happiness!
I am also a mother to four beautiful (but very noisy) young children, which gives me firsthand experience of the challenges and joys of parenthood. I am passionate about helping expectant and new parents feel confident and informed throughout their journeys, by providing expert guidance, reassurance and support at every step of the
way.

Emma Lawless IM.avif

Independent midwife

Emma's journey into midwifery began with a truly positive 3rd birth experience. The care she received from one incredible midwife left a lasting impact and inspired Emma to pursue this path. At 46, as a single mother of four, she completed a midwifery degree with First-Class Honours and began a career that has become her life’s passion. Since qualifying in 2014, Emma has supported families across a wide range of settings from high-risk hospital units to calm, empowering home births, always with compassion, respect, and the belief that care should be centred around you.

Independent midwife

Virginia is a registered independent midwife serving women across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent, holding birth not as a medical event to be managed, but as a threshold to be honoured.

Tess Mcleish.avif

Independent midwife

A mother of four turned first-class midwife, Tess left the NHS in 2018 to offer the kind of deeply personal care she always believed every family deserves.

Tina perridge IM.jpeg

Independent midwife

Tina was well supported in the pregnancy and birth of her fourth child by an independent midwife, and the experience was life-changing. Over 20 years ago, she retrained as a midwife, always offering continuity of care. Tina is particularly passionate about postnatal care and breastfeeding support, as these aspects are often overlooked and crucial to a woman’s wellbeing. Whilst Tina cares for the whole family, it is really about the woman, ensuring that she feels supported and nurtured, able to make her own choices, so that she can relax and enjoy this time, recover and care for her baby, safe in the knowledge that she is supported every step of the way.
