Birth is a deeply transformative experience. Research has now found that fathers and non-birthing partners' brain exhibit structural growth during the first few months after the child’s birth, contingent upon their involvement with the baby.
Parenthood literally re-shapes your brain, however fathers and partners’ experience is rarely acknowledged. Very often partners are the only source of care for new mothers; they help practically in the house and support them emotionally, while also getting to know their baby and navigating the often conflicting and overwhelming emotions that parenthood brings up. This can put a lot of pressure on partners, and may lead to experience that there isn’t any space left for their feelings.
This offer is for you if you would like to have a safe space where your thoughts, feelings and experiences can be shared and listened to without judgement. It will also give you the opportunity to meet other local fathers and partners who are going through a similar life transition. The session will also include some gentle movements and breathing to release stress and feel grounded.
