Pregnancy, giving birth and early parenthood are one of the life’s most profound events. Having worked in nursing, health visiting and as an infant lead for over 30 years – and as a mother of three daughters myself – I’ve developed a deep passion for supporting and working with mother and baby.
Over this time, I have been a constant witness to the healing power of touch, so training in Craniosacral Therapy was a natural progression for me.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive therapy which supports you and your baby’s natural healing abilities. It can help ease the passage into family life by providing physical, emotional and psychological support during this important transitional phase – a process which can include partners too.
It is highly effective during pregnancy for a range of common issues including:
Relief of minor ailments (such as back pain, sciatic pain, headaches)
Settling the nervous and hormonal systems (anxiety, sleeping difficulties)
Supporting the body’s current and future physical changes
Preparing for birth
My practice offers a calm, supportive and safe space to help mother and baby to navigate their unique and growing relationship.
